The Wolfman Movie Review : Thrilling

In this remake, there are still full moon nights, murder and blood.Set in 1890s England, Ben Talbot dissapears and his brother Lawrence (Del Toro) is summoned to trace him. Lawrence finds his brother’s body torn into pieces by a monster. Soon, on one such full moon night Lawrence is also wounded by the beast. Result: Man turns into wolf, howling is followed by fights and then there is blood!-The film has plenty of gory scenes with an excellent countryside setting. The special effects create an aura of dreadful experience.
However, if you are looking for a perfect werewolf flick, this is still not the one. There are certain moments where the film falters giving the audience a chance to simply shrug off with a giggle over some ‘senseless’ theories.
“The Wolfman” is strong in visuals and a cast with Hopkins and Chaplin. The two actors are instrumental in casting a daylight on the, rather dull, full moon night thriller.
